The course is divided into five days of training. Every day starts with self-improvement and practice of foundational aspects such as posture, movement, breathing and attitude, before the training of the massage itself, the techniques and the flow.

First part of the day is dedicated to automassage and various warm up excises, breathing practice, basic hula and frigate dance, prayer and chants, huna philosophy and ho’oponopono pactice. These practices enable the student to build up their own body and soul, to build their mana, to control their energy so that they can effortlessly dance around the bench and practice the massage with passion.

After the lunch break, the second half of each day is spent learning and practicing the massage techniques and the basic routine of the back and the front. All the basic moves, strokes, rotations, posture and body movement is gone through. The first half of the course the emphasis is on the individual aspects of the massage: the oiling, the back stroke, the long stroke, the rotations, etc. And in the latter half the emphasis is on fluid flow that incorporates these aspects into a whole body massage. The treatment of the massage bench and the mixing of the oil are also taught. The teaching is trough demonstration and the student will give and receive massage evry day of the course. At the end of the course the student will give a full temple massage session with all the accompanying ritual/protocol. After the completion of this final demonstration of his newly acquired knowledge the student receives a certificate of completion of Kino Mana I training in accordance with Huna International teaching standard.
